TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update:

For 11/28/08:We have seen a switch in the dominant trajectory of the western weather pattern with the current stream of moisture dipping in from the north. We will see continued snow showers with some squally cells threatening another inch or two of accumulation but we are out of the sweet spot. With little organization from the moisture in the northwest we will be reduced to snow showers through the weekend.

Temperatures will drop back to the seasonal norms and it’s going to feel a lot more like winter around here. Crested Butte will see a high today of 33 degrees while Gunnison climbs to 36 degrees. Cold overnight lows will return under this northern flow with the mid 20’s of the last week giving way to the teens again through the rest of the weekend. Daytime highs will hold at the low 30’s valley wide as we see the colder northern conditions dig in and hold on until the beginning of next week.

If you are traveling today expect potentially sloppy conditions with the warmer temperatures turning cold and wet roads freezing into tonight. Leave plenty of time and plan accordingly.
